Ducati today launched the new Streetfighter V2 in India at a price of Rs 17.25 lakh. The Naked Sports motorcycle shares a lot with the Panigale V2 and joins the Streetfighter V4 and V4S, priced at Rs 22.15 lakh and Rs 25.49 lakh.

The new Ducati Streetfighter V2 is the same 955cc Superquadro twin-cylinder motor that is slightly lower on power than the Panigale V2. This engine generates 153 bhp of power at 10,750 rpm and 101.4 Nm of torque at 9000 rpm. This engine is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and is available with a quick shifter as standard. It has three power modes, high, medium and low, with cornering ABS, traction control, wheely control, engine braking and ride mode (wait, road and sport), which can be accessed through a 4.3-inch color TFT cluster.

"The Ducati Streetfighter V2 is the new gateway to our sports naked family, fully amalgamating the fight formula of the larger Streetfighter V4 with the mechanics inherited from the more track-focused Panigale V2," Ducati India said. Streetfighter V2 is fun, upbeat and perfect road and track tool for Dukatisti with state-of-the-art electronics and an intuitive and easy ride setup, designed to guarantee fun on the road or track. We couldn't be happier to introduce it in India, and I'm looking forward to seeing the streetfighter family grow in India."

The New Ducati Streetfighter V2 has many similarities to the Streetfighter V4. The front features a V-shaped LED DRL that Ducati claims is inspired by the smile of the DC character Joker. The double layer fairing integrates headlights and air intakes. The Superquadro engine acts as a load bearing element, and integrates with the liquid surfaces of the tank. The aerodynamics have been tweaked to achieve performance without using biplane wings. Biplane wings can be selected as accessory. The dry weight of the motorcycle is just 178 kg, which weighs 52 percent front and 48 percent rear. The front has 43mm Showa forks with full adjustability, while the rear gets a fully adjustable sax shock absorber. It gets Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 120/70 section front and 180/60 section rear tyres.
